Auckland New Zealand Wedding Photographer. Rodolfo Walsh of Walsh Wedding Stories. It was amazing to take Alex and Simon´s wedding photos in beautiful New Zealand. I took their engagement photos in downtown Auckland and Alex´s bridal photos in Auckland botanical gardens, at the Auckland University Waipapa Marae (a beautiful Maori building complex) and in Auckland Silo Park where there´s a great view of Sky Tower. Whenever I photograph international weddings I always look for spots that represent or are very typical of the city or country I´m in. I was amazed by the vegetation of New Zealand and had to get a photo of Alex among the huge ferns that are as tall as trees. I also wanted to pay my respect to the native Maori culture and portray it in the photo shoot. The Waipapa Marae was the perfect spot with beautiful buildings and wood carvings.
